At a time when the music business is crying out for new talent comes one oozing with it and blessed with unusual charisma. His name is Kashu Man. The artist has newly released singles titled "Double Love" and "Mama's Joy" in which he talks about his undying love for his mother. The song is a tribute to his mother and sets the stage for what he describes as the bigging up of women and states that he is one entertainer who will never dis women in his music.
Christened Darren Williams the handsome six footer hails from Toll Gate in the parish of Clarendon, the fifth child of nine and was schooled at the Toll Gate AII Age School then later at Vere Technical High. At Vere the ambitious youth excelled at Technical Drawing, Construction, Engineering and Fashion Designing. He also was a High School hearttrob who played center forward on the Dacosta Cup Team for two years in a row. It was during his high school years that his inborn musical talent started to intensify and he begun to perform at school concerrts adding to his campus popularity. He continued on to area talent shows, one that was a weekly feature in Toll Gate where he never failed to impress alongside others.
His love for the stage and the high of appearing in front of a live audience has led him to represent Vere at Teen Star Search and he gained national recognition when he won the televised Reggae Trail Contest. Since then he has appeared on local shows such as Ram Jam, Island Explosion, Everton Blender Birthday Bash just to name a few. He also performed in St. Maarten, Cayman Island and toured Europe (Switzerland, France, Sweden and Holland). Armed with a new image, new management, lots of presence and talent, Kashu Man is putting the industry on notice that he is coming. The singjay is restless and eager to make himself known to the public and says his music will not be derogatory and explains... "I am about G3 - God, Girls and Ghetto concerns."
