Overall rating : (1 to 5 stars)
Sanchez's career spans over seventeen years starting out in school and in the church choir. His family were devout members of the Rehoboth Apostolic Church. As a youth he led, and sang in both the youth and the adult choir. He attended St. Andrew Tech. High School in Kingston and was greatly influenced by the sound systems of that era Small Axe, Rambo and Crystal. His association with these sound systems was almost immediate and would be always conflict with his church going schedules. He became the selector for Rambo, the fantastic response to his style was overwhelming and was greatly encouraged. Sanchez voiced his first single in 1987 titled "Lady in Red". His first hit single "Loneliness" came shortly after in 1988 on the "Techniques" label and still is one of his biggest hits to date. Through the years Sanchez has released over seventy singles and numerous hits and has managed to become one of Jamaica's most celebrated voices. "Alcohol Or Music" is the first single taken off the thirtieth album in his career, "Sanchez...And The Music", that will be released on Miami based hip-hop record label, Chronic Records. The hiphop flavored "Alcohol Or Music" shows the singers' ability to deliver a tune that will appeal to a wide audience. Sanchez delivers his lyrics in fine style, seemingly effortless finding his flow over an infectious uptempo riddim. Nice one!!
