Overall rating : (1 to 5 stars)
Brand new single from the "Roots Hi-Tek" label features two well arranged tunes delivered by female vocalists, Barbara Naps and Christine Miller. Talented singer and musician from Northwest London Barbara Naps is no newcomer in the music business . This former singer of the underacclaimed London-Based all female reggae band Akabu has been performing and recording for quite some time by now and actually had a full length album entitled "No Apologies" recently released on the "Ruff Cutt" label. "Angels" is the result of teaming up with Roots Hi-Tek. Barbara Naps delivers a solid, entertaining tune in true foundation reggae style fully displaying her great vocal abilities over a tough roots riddim, which was expertly mixed by Bubblers at Ruff Cutt Studios. On the other hand singer/songwriter Christine Miller of the Reggae Rock Band makes her recording debut. Her answer version to Tony Roots' excellent "Pirates" called "We Never Come To Stay" is a solid tune which shows that she has enough potential to become one of the UK's most anticipated female reggae singers.
