Overall rating : (1 to 5 stars)
Jungle Law & Think Money are the first two in a trilogy of singles to be taken from Babyhead's forthcoming album 'Heavy Weather' (due out Sept 2010). Both singles will be issued on ltd.edtion 7" heavyweight vinyl (only 300 hand numbered copies) and digital download. Babyhead started out in the mid 90s as a kind of punk band, but they 'discovered' ska and soon they became a popular band in the Bristol area. A horns section was formed and the ska sound felt authentic with the addition of the horns and was easy to dance to, appealing to young and old. In 2004 Alexander Lupo Bobbyazee joined the band. The introduction of Lupo brought technology and a new way of working. So far they released two albums: 'Babyboom Town' and 'The Geek Show'.

Jungle Lore is a kind of stomping rock/reggae tune and has its fine (reggae) moments, but do check the dub mix -- Jungle Law (Lupo's Dub Mix) -- which is an astoning dub work-out of the original track. Bad tune! The beginning of Think Money reminds us of 'Duelling Banjo's' a tune featured in the movie 'Deliverance', but its a straight forward reggae tune. The horns driven dub version is more our cup of tea!
