Overall rating : (1 to 5 stars)
Topnotch cultural artists like Cocoa Tea, Tony Rebel and Buju Banton alongside the much promising roots singer Taffari have voiced the "Scorcher" riddim - laid by Christopher Birch - at the 321 Strong Studio in Kingston, Jamaica. Best versions come from sweet-voiced Cocoa Tea and Buju Banton, but also the other pieces are truly above par. Cocoa Tea comes up with an impressive seventies style roots tune delivered in his unique vocal style. Also Anthony B, solo and teaming with Buju, comes on strong as does Tony Rebel and fine roots singer Taffari. Buju Banton's solo piece "What Is To Be" is a scorcher and definitely belongs to one of his biggest tunes. These Syl Gordon produced singles contain real instrumentation and nuff vibes, which makes them all well worth checking out!
