  • B.B. Seaton - Dance For Your Money / Conscious Minds - Money Version
Overall rating : (1 to 5 stars)
Although Harris Seaton aka B.B. Seaton has not achieved real chart-busting hits during his musical career - which spans more than four decades by now - he is known and loved by longtime reggae enthusiasts for his great vocal delivery and his songwriting skills. As a composer he was very successful in the seventies with hit songs like Ken Boothe's "Freedom Street", Delroy Wilson's "Gave You My Love" and the Melodians' "Swing & Dine". The latter was covered by the Morwells in the eighties and is now done by B.B. Seaton himself. Alongside Conscious Minds B.B. Seaton delivers a nice version in a 21st century stylee on a brand new 7" single. The tune is renamed "Dance For Your Money" and B.B. Seaton's laid-back vocal delivery is underpinned by a modern up-tempo riddim utilizing Horace Andy's classic "Mr. Bassie".
