Finally it has arrived...the Dennis Brown Tribute Song, performed by the British Reggae All Stars. The medley consists of 6 classic Dennis Brown tunes : Here I Come, No Man Is An Island, Money In My Pocket, Have You Ever, Sitting And Watching & Wolfs And Leopards.
The cd single contains three wicked versions which were recorded on Sunday, 18th July 1999 at Stingray Studios in Middlesex. At that place an array of artists from the British reggae community united to sing tribute to one of reggae's most prolific and much loved artist - Dennis Brown. Every single artist on the day put their heart and soul into their performance, as you will definitely hear throughout the recording.
The musicians who laid down the excellent backing are : Mafia & Fluxy (drums and bass), Carlton 'Bubblers' Ogilvie (piana and keyboards), Bigger Morrison (keyboards), Jazzwad (percussion), Peter Hunnigale and Prince Stanley Andrews (rhythm guitar), Henry 'Buttons' Tenyue (trombone), Patrick Tenyue (trumpet), Winston 'Saxton' Rose (tenor sax), Delroy 'Fluty' Clarke (alto sax) and on lead guitar Tony Philips.
The voices of more than 50 British reggae artists can be heard on this recording. Alongside wellknown vocalists like Lloyd Brown, Janet Lee Davis, Peter Hunnigale, Louisa Marks, Nerious Joseph, Don Campbell and Sylvia Tella, you'll also hear deejays such as General Levy, Tippa Irie, Sweetie Irie, Pato Banton and Chuckie Starr.
