Overall rating : (1 to 5 stars)
Though this is a release by Unik Music, it can almost be considered an Irie Ites release, as it is not only like the releases by that in Le Mans, France based label, the 'Zion Riddim' last year as well as the 'Borderline Riddim' and most recently relicks of Burning Spear's ,'Rocking Time Riddim' and 'Down In Jamaica', a tribute to Joseph Hill, the lead singer of Culture who passed away on August 19, 2006, once more a riddim built by Mafia & Fluxy, well mixed by Calvin 'So So' Francis, it also is a reworking of one of the tunes on Ras McBean's stunning 2004 debut album "Pack Up And Leave" that Irie Ites released more than 3 years ago.

Lutan Fyah delivers the great upful "Give Thanks For Life" that is backed by the great clean "Dem A Run Away Version" built by Mafia & Fluxy with the great trombone riffs by Henry 'Buttons' Tenyue on top, a version that is also on the flipside of the second 7", Suga Roy & Conrad Crystal's excellent combination tune on their favourite meditation spot called "Hill Vibes".

Guyanese singjay Ras McBean's own "Dem A Run Away" sounds extremely fresh in this new mix, that differs from the mix on his debut album, sounding a bit more uptempo and uplifting - though being one of the scorchers in 2004 already on "Pack Up And Leave" - and on the flipside of this 45 French singer Keefaz, who already impressed alongside (Martinique's) Baby G over 'Down In Jamaica', shows what a great singing and deejaying talent he is with "Sous Le MÍme Ciel" Under The Same Sky. This is another great 7" selection released in France, and you can listen to the "Dem A Run Away Riddim Mix" on Unik Music's My Space to know why you should buy it as 7" buyer or/and soundsystem selector.
