Artist & tune

  • Elly Ess & Supa Shane - More Money
Overall rating : (1 to 5 stars)
Rock Star Entertainment's monstrous dark hardcore gangsta themed dancehall production 'Gangsta Gangsta' put the Hoosong brothers (from New Jersey, USA) a.k.a. Supa Shane and Elly Ess, who also produced Rock Star's 'Onward'-riddim, firmly on the map as producers. Elly Ess not only produced the 'Gangsta Gangsta'-riddim together with his brother but he also voiced the impressive "Nuh Inna Dat" over it and then returned as performing artist with the single "Bad Boys", followed by "Shoo Fly (Don't Bother Me)" with its cross-over hip hop vibe and the heavy electo-dance influenced "I'm So Wavy" before the "Bad Boys (Remix)" featuring Vybz Kartel and Jim Jones was released.

And currently the first single from Elly Ess & Supa Shane's upcoming EP "United We Stand" called "More Money" is in heavy rotation on Hype TV and RE TV. The tune is (like many tunes these days) a street anthem talking about the goals of society during the current economic turndown, with the vocals partly heavily auto-tuned and emphasizing the need to get stinking rich, yet delivered in a strong combination style with the excellent catchphrase if money a di root of all evil, wi a go wicked no bomboclaat
Following this "More Money" single the "United We Stand EP" is about to be released as well as a very fine remake of Shinehead's "Jamaican In New York".
