The Ocho Rios-based "Kariang" label, which by now has established itself as a label that produces fine contemporary roots & culture music, comes up with six cuts across a reworking of a classic Studio One riddim. The riddim - retitled "Micro Chip" - was rebuilt by Barry O'Hare, who played drums, bass and keyboards with additional horns of Tony Green and Chico Chin and, besides that, was the producer in charge.

The best tune across the riddim can be credited to Sizzla, who adds another solid effort to the extended list of records he has delivered in the past years. This young singjay fires his lyrics dealing with the "herbs" in his well known vocal style, which fits this sometimes hurried sounding riddim well. Bushman, whose singing style is reminiscent of Michael Buckley, is in good shape and makes a more than decent impression with his cut over the riddim, which happens to be an appealing song about a lost love. Prezident Brown hardly fails to deliver a decent tune and his "Micro Chip" is no exception. Another outspoken cultural deejay, Terrie Ganzie, also lives up to expectations as he delivers a decent effort with the inspired and powerful sounding "Can't Dictate". Furthermore there's a cut from Kulcha Knox, whose performance can be regarded as a nice effort as goes for singer Doniki.
