Born July 1972 in St. Andrews, Jamaica, Clement Campbell a.k.a. Junior P won his first local talent show at the tender age of seven. After having worked with several sound systems as a deejay and part-time selector he recorded his first song called "Ninja Bike" for Scorcher Records at the age of twelve. A few months later he migrated to the U.S., where he continued his musical career. After a period of touring and doing shows, in which he showcased his versatility as a performer and his ability of capturing both hiphop and reggae audiences, Junior P went on to record an album for Capital Records in the mid-nineties. Capital Records released the single "Good Body Gal", which attracted notable attraction. In the fall of 1999 he teamed up with producer "Spyda" KB of Canja Sounds, with whom Junior P started to voice some tunes.|
Two of them are featured on this entertaining promotional CD Single. "Hand Mi Da Fiya" is a modern conscious dancehall tune over an infectious danceable riddim, which Junior P rides seemingly effortless. Love In Mi Heart" brings forward a more rootical mood. This tune is a strong delivery from an artist, who showcases that he's able to handle a wide range of styles on the same quality level. This promotional CD single makes one truly looking forward to hear more from Junior P's fruitful association with producer Kevin Brown.
