Jah Mason - Most Royal
Jah Warrior - Royal Dub

Label : Jah Warrior      Format : 7"      Date : 26 - 08 - 2002
Rating : (1 to 5 stars)

Producer Jah Warrior has gained international recognition for his fusion of UK roots music and Jamaican veteran artists such as Rod Taylor, Dillinger, Prince Alla, Peter Broggs, to name a few. But also current up-and-coming artists are welcomed by Steve "Jah Warrior" Mosco as in case of Jamaican singjay Jah Mason, who is definitely one of the most exciting and talented of the "bobo dread" artists around. A member of Capleton's "David House", Jah Mason has released many singles for various producers in Jamaica and has toured extensively throughout Europe. His debut album "Keep Your Joy" has recently been released on the US based "Ghetto Tech" label, and by reggae connoisseurs and fans alike he is tipped as the next rising star in the mould of artists such as Sizzla and Capleton. "Most Royal" was recorded at Conscious Sounds studio in London and fully lives up the expectations as Jah Mason performs an inspired sounding wicked tune. The singjay delivers his conscious lyrics over a heavy one drop riddim (featuring live horns and bongos) in fine style. The wicked vocal, the deep roots sound of the riddim track and the awesome dub version on the flipside makes "Most Royal" a well worth release for all roots lovers!!
