Vocal artist, songwriter, producer and businessman Anthony Campbell was born in Stratford, London, to Jamaican parents. He migrated to Jamaica at the young age of six, but returned to England twelve years after his departure. He started writing songs and working on his vocal skills, and in 1994 he decided to record and release his first single entitled "Forever". A year later he followed with another release called "Where Is The Love?" before embarking upon a reggae remake of the popular soul hit by Wayne Marshall entitled "G-Spot" in 1995. This song proved successful and charted No. 2 in the Echoes charts. In the same year he released his first album, "Your Special Gift", which climbed the Echoes charts to No. 17. More releases followed including a rendition of the Carpenters song "Rainy Days And Mondays" in 1998. That tune reached serious sales figures and is now available again through his own company, Stringbean International Records. With "Rainy Days And Mondays", underpinned by the classic "Far East" riddim, Anthony Campbell delivers a decent song, most likely appreciated by fans of so-called Big People's Music.
