  • Rapha Pico feat. Mr. Patze - 45
Overall rating : (1 to 5 stars)
2015 is another banner year for Rapha Pico. His recent single, "Take A Look" has been a powerful highlight of this musically rich year and captures the maturity of this gifted Lion of African/Suriname heritage. Last year, he and his band, The Roots Rockers embarked on the triumphant 30 show "Roots EP" tour; in support of his powerful debut set. This year, he has captivated the massive at "Reggae By The River (Germany) and "Roots Reggae Festival (Belgium). Either on stage or in the studio, he commands a Royal presence with no partiality. This man trods as a true Rastaman.

Mr. Patze has been on the Dutch Roots scene for a long time. As a youth, he cut teeth on Fatal Sound Sound System; playing with the likes of Don Carlos and Beres Hammond. He performed alongside Roots artist Benaissa at Summerjam 2004. He is currently MC at Sound Armada and collaborating with such conscious artists as Joggo, Maikal X, Censi Rock, Rass Motivated. Natty King, Sadiki, and Torch. Mr. Patze also produced/wrote the debut album of Dutch reggae artist Censi Rock "First Deliver" for Area 026 Music. And soon his own EP will come out named "Me Ready".

Roots messenger Rapha Pico has collaborated with fellow Dutch artist/producer Mr. Patze with the brand new single, "45". A powerful ode to the glory days of discovering great records and the absoluteness of the Sound System. Rapha and Mr. Patze deliver an education for the next generation with Royal vibration. The tune is a tour-de-force! With his flowing and smooth delivery, Rapha recalls the pleasantness of playing a crucial record and the goodness that goes along. This man sings heartically with a golden touch. The contrast of Mr. Patze's crucial and tuff MC delivery is sheer brilliance. Both artists ride the urgent and top grade riddim with style and experience. A celebration of music and refreshment of Heart and Soul.
