Berlin based outfit Seeed have created a brand new riddim called "Electric Boogie". This wicked backdrop follows up the "Pharoah" and, of course, the very successful "Doctor's Darling", which has come to the attention of reggae enthusiasts worldwide with cuts from Jamaican artists such as Sizzla, Tanya Stephens, Capleton and Luciano. With "Electric Boogie" we're treated to the next big bashment riddim bringing us some more examples of Jamaican artists riding a Germaican riddim to full effect. Initially Elephant Man's tune "Shake Baby Shake" should be featured on Seeed's latest album "Music Monks - The See(e)dy Monks", but for whatever reason it turned out that it wasn't. However, here now it appears on 7" single. Elephant Man fully showcases his unique lyrical flow over a thumping riddim. The Energy God is in real good shape, once again exploring his specialty for creating theme songs to a new dance. The awesome "Freaky Freak" by Ce'Cile is a matching effort, definitely one of our musical choice cuts for the riddim. Also Kiprich comes with a good flow and delivers a decent piece. Seeed's own cut for the "Electric Boogie" called "What You Deserve Is What You Get" is an umptempo song about the choices you have got to make in life, between the rat race and enjoying life. It's truly a solid tune worth of hearing. Ward 21's "Krazy Party" is an entertaining tune, something to spice up any party. Another personal favourite is "Money Makes The World Go Round" by the underrated Chico. Unlike many dancehall artists Chico isn't that prolific, but when he records a tune he often shows that he's capable of delivering worthwhile songs. Last but definitely not least there's Nosliw's "Alarm". The German singjay, who delivers his lyrics in German language, makes a decent impression and although not everyone outside Germany will understand what he's saying it's an enjoyable tune, worth of checking out. Pretty sure there will be coming more tunes for this riddim, however make sure you get these four singles while you can. Order here!!
