"2002" is a fast-paced, beat-dominated dancehall riddim, which includes a subtle guitar part - reminiscent of the guitar sound known from the so called "surf music", which came out of California in the early 60's - flowing in and out the riddim.
None of the participants in the Scare Dem Crew can be accused of being very original. Nevertheless the relentless lyrical shower having several deejays and a singer on one track makes for a very enjoyable record. Of course, the same thing goes for the Monster Shack Crew, however in this case they are outmatched by the Scare Dem Crew. Lexxus' lyrics are up to speed and sometimes you even wonder how he breathes. If you follow this youth's lyrics as well as the riddim your heart is racing by the end of the cut. With "Pass round donkey" Power Man fails to make an impression, mainly because his performance doesn't keep you wanting to listen. Baby Wayne puts out a slightly better effort with a kind of "chatting style" tune, but overall his delivery lacks the excitement to make this cut an above average attemp.
