Producer Jeremy Harding caused a sensation in the dancehall scene with his "Playgound" riddim and achieved huge success with Beenie Man's inner-city anthem "Who Am I (Zim Zimma)". He scored again with his massive Medina riddim, with Sean Paul's 'Strategy' still killing the masses. His last masterpiece for 1998 is the quicksilver 'Mercury' riddim. Six lethal, back to back sevens, will raise the temperature inna de dance.
I really like the A.R.P. tune, they're fine vocalists and deserve a wider audience. Hawkey really gets energetic on the riddim, just as Merciless who lays down a massive tune. On the flip you'll find a splendid combination track by Scare Dem, featuring Nitty Kutchie and Boom Dandemite.
Sean Paul's tune is excellent and his vocal delivery gets better with each record he cuts. Mr. Vegas -high in the charts with his debut set Heads High- lives up to my expectations. Red Rat delivers a jugglin' tune, but Italee doesn't manage to make a decent impression.
Beenie Man and Lukie D. put out thriller versions of the riddim with two infectious cuts.
