Artist / Title :
Beenie Man - Tell me
General B. - Who la la la
Roundhead - Flavour
Powerman - Move out

Label : Greensleeves      Format : 12"      Date : 09-02-1998
Riddim : Taranchyla
Rating : (1 to 5 stars)

Four deejay cuts on the computer driven "Taranchyla" riddim, produced by Shane Richards for Shines Productions and mixed at Studio 2000 by Steely & Clevie. The riddim is fast-paced and hectic, which allows one of Jamaica's best deejays "the King of dancehall" Beenie Man to deliver an exciting performance, followed by Monster Shock Crew members General B. (adapting parts of the Fugees' song "Refugee camp") and Roundhead, who both have an equally solid outing. General B.'s screechy singjay style is reminiscent of Beenie Man, but he does enough to keep from being labeled a clone. Roundhead deserves props for keeping true to his own style. The Powerman's tune is a nice one, but it lacks that certain something to make it more than an average effort.
