|'Through The Fire' is the brand new one drop riddim produced by Mario 'Mad
Scientist' Lawrence, who impressed last year already with riddims like 'Hill Billy', 'Chandelier'
and 'Mother Land' and singles by Omar Reid, Kris Kelli and Irie Love. His Music Factory Studio is a recording facility
based in the heart of Kingston Jamaica with the aim to make a stamp of excellence on the music
industry worldwide. Mario 'Mad Scientist' Lawrence delivers the whole package at Music Factory as
a producer, song writer, recording and mixing engineer and riddim builder with a strong inclination
towards preserving original Jamaican music. He is a very accomplished song writer, having written
and composed the smashing single "Freedom" sung by Hawaiian female sensation Irie Love (from her "Ehiku (EP)"). He also wrote and produced
the winning song in Jamaica's Popular Song Competition 2006 "Remember The Days".|
The first tune over this wonderful laid back one drop comes from former ARP (A Raw Perspective) member Da'Ville, who delivers a magnificently sung tune about the pitfalls of modern technology and "Myspace" followed by Delly Ranx with the conscious and very much on top of the riddim delivered "Pass The Worse", Matthew 'Esco' Thompson with his anti-batty-bwoy statement "Inna Di Closet" and sweet-voiced upcoming singer Mr. Glamarus who wants to bun every "Pervert" and very smoothly brings his threatening message across. Beautiful songstress Kris Kelli mourns that she will never "Find Another Love" like you followed by Nanko, who recorded just a few tunes in the two years after his smash hit "Lucky You" in 2005, returning with the great story-telling of "Ethan".
A very promising newcomer under the tutelage of Mario 'Mad Scientist' is Pearlie Lion impressing here with "Inspiration" before T.O.K. deliver the best tune of this very strong selection with "Wanna Love You". Another very talented promising newcomer, who mainly records for Donovan Germain's Penthouse Records and Mario Lawrence's Music Factory is Torch (formerly known as Honey Comb) who impresses with "Can't Get Me Out" - a tune that reminds me of Gentleman's combination with Barrington Levy & Daddy Rings "Caan Hold Us Down" - before the 'Mad Scientist' himself shows how brilliant his latest one drop riddim is with the clean "Through The Fire (Version)". Hopefully this selection will get an official release on 7" very soon (and as one riddim album as well) as these are wonderful tunes from a label of which we will surely hear more in the near future!
