Overall rating : (1 to 5 stars)
The R&B-fashioned dancehall group Voicemail, a duo consisting of Craig Jackson and Kevin Blaire since third member O'Niel Edwards was shot and killed in 2010, was founded in 2003. Their first recording called "Never Really Want To Let You Go" was done for producer Arif Cooper, while their first chart hit in Jamaica was "Weh Di Time". The group's 2006 debut album, "Hey", included dance party anthems such as "Wacky Dip", "Weddy Time" and "Ready To Party". The album sold over 100,000 copies in Japan. The group continued their success in Japan with the "Let's Go" album, which was followed by the international release of their third album, "Jump Off".

Since they started making waves in the dancehall scene, Voicemail has been mainly identified with catchy, upbeat and fun dancing tunes, and this is once again showcased on the brand new "Full Swing" riddim. This infectious and very danceable riddim was built by French riddim makers Dub Akom, known from the acclaimed modern roots riddims "Vitamin", "Highlight", "Bonafide". Now they come up with a dancehall backdrop on which Voicemail delivers a very entertaining party tune entitled "Shots". The digitally released single is a good introduction to more dancehall niceness as the complete "Full Swing" riddim will be released on May 29th on all digital platforms featuring artists such as Konshens, Lukie D, Jah Mason, Beenie Man, Turbulence, and Perfect.

Voicemail's "Shots" is a tune that gets any summer party going.
