The Ark Band has been a dynamic force in the reggae scene of Ohio and the Midwest United States and exists of men that the most high has put together for the uplifting of the spirit.

The current album is a collection of all kinds of popular hits in the music industry: Rock, Pop and, of course, Reggae Hits are all included in the album. The Rock and Pop hits are giving a reggae restyling. The album actually begins with the second tune Warriors, which is also one of the 2 original tracks on the album. It is a hiphop kind of lyrics with the chorus done by Ky-Mani Marley. The remake of Peter Tosh's African is nicely done, note that the vocal delivery is almost the same as the original. The Way You Do Things You Do and Hotel California are 2 tracks that almost everybody knows, which makes it hard to come up with a good remake, but The Ark Band did a nice job on both. Electric Avenue was a too hard challenge I think. Last Dance is one the best remakes this album offers. Kingston town doesn't really stand out. Land Down Under is a true gem. Climb Aboard The Ark is a 17 minute long tune and and a great round off of the album. This is the second song they created themselves.

My opinion is that if you make a remake you must add a touch which makes it better than the original tune. The Ark Band has successfully done that except for only a few tracks. Nonetheless a sweet band, but I wish they are going to make more tracks of their own in the future.

Classics inna reggae style.
