Jeffrey Campbell aka Assassin aka Agent Sasco burst onto the dancehall scene at the tender age of 17. While still a student at Camperdown High School, he wrote the song "Big Up All The Shotta Dem", which Spragga Benz recorded as "Shotta" on Steely & Clevie's "Street Sweeper" riddim. In 2001 he recorded the hitsingle Dedicated To The World, a tune across the "Rice & Peas" riddim, done in combination with Sugar Slick. However his breakthrough hit was Ruffest And Toughest, which he voiced for producer/musician Stephen "Lenky" Marsden on the groundbreaking "Diwali" riddim. Since then he has been a solid dancehall hitmaker, voicing sides across the most popular dancehall riddims.

Priority is an all-time Assassin favourite on the "Dubwise" riddim. He recorded this roots tune for Juke Boxx producer Shane Brown. A sure shot dancehall classic is Idiot Thing That on the "Stepz" riddim, which climbed the charts in 2004. Pre Dis was another chart climber for Assassin in 2009. This tune is on the "Boasty" riddim from producer Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor. A recent smash hit Assassin did for that same producer was Hand Inna Di Air. Wicked song! Further noteworthy tunes are Almighty Protect from 2008. Here Assassin tackles the "Unfinished Business/Show Time" riddim in real fine style for producer Linton 'TJ' White. Hand To Mouth, a typical aggressive Assassin dancehall tune rides the "Set Me Free" riddim.

Although this cd features only 12 tunes (we could use some more for a cd!), it's a solid collection that provides you with a good overview of Assassin's career.
