The amount of artists that have emerged in Jamaica in the past 5 decades is mind-boggling. Some of these artists have reached star status, others have taken their place amongst those who have drawn notable attention during a particular period in Jamaica's musical history, and there are also quite a few who have tried their luck but in the end failed to achieve an international breakthrough due to lack of talent and skill or, as in case of Mark Wonder, because they simply haven't met the right people to help them built a successful career.

Luckily every now and then Mark Wonder, a great songwriter and one of the sweetest voice from Jamaica who started as a professional recording artist in 1988, runs into people who want to promote an under-exposed talented artist. Now it's the production team behind the Special Delivery Music label that has decided to bring this remarkable, but criminally overlooked artist to the attention of the reggae fans with the release of a four track Digital EP entitled "Battle Axe". All tunes, sung in truly unique style, are of high quality and a real joy to hear, not least because of Mark Wonder's lyrical delivery. "Shape The Future" across the "Visions" riddim and "Jah Never Fail I" on the "Dis Ya Time" riddim were previously available on single and cd, while "Let Live" and "Nothing A Gwan" appear for the very first time.

An artist like Mark Wonder needs to be heard, so do check out these tunes!!
