4 years have gone since their album "Lightkultur" and the very successful single "Adriano (Letzte Warnung)", their last warning after the death of Mosambiquan living in Germany Alberto Adriano at the hands of youthful skinheads, and although the idea already lingered the event instantly triggering the establishment of Brothers Keepers as Afro-German hiphop and reggae crew and foundation against racism. Now they are back with a great tune as a teaser for their upcoming album "Am I My Brothers Keeper?" With German soul-popchart-star Xavier Naidoo delivering the excellent chorus of "Bereit" we are ready, Absolute Beginner's Denyo (who also appeared on this site being involved in Turtle Beach Country Club's "Dub Decade"), D-Flame the German reggae-DJ with one of the lowest voices around (and yes that includes Ward 21's Suku) who has released the very entertaining albums "Basstard" and "Unaufhaltsam", Afrob who appeared on Gentleman's "Journey To Jah", Torch, Tyron Ricketts, Ebony Prince, Bantu, Blaise, Germ, Ono, Chima, Don Abi and guestrapper Toni-L. A great tune with great lyrics (provided your German is up to par) for a good cause, that certainly makes me curious about the album that will amongst others feature Gentleman, Samy Deluxe and Dr. Ring Ding. Brothers Keepers are back, and although this CD-single only features "Bereit" in four more or less equal version, their message must be heard, their fight supported!
