On the 28th of January 2011 Campina Reggae performed at Café Zeezicht in Antwerp. At the same time they were introducing their second full length album "Armoei Troef".

Bass player Steven Van Gool, who played in several other Belgian bands like El Tattoo Del Tigre, Wawadadakwa and Raymond Van Het Groenewoud is the front man and singer of Campina Reggae. The band was formed in 2006 and enjoyed little success with their first album "Vet en Verstaanbaar".

Campina Reggae's goal is to bring Flemish reggae "without subtitles", which means they want to bring understandable music for everyone. From reggae to ska, from calypso to salsa. The lyrics are often very poetic and touch some political edges from time to time. Campina Reggae is also engaged in other projects such as 11.11.11 which is a non-profit organization that strides for third world countries. On their brand new album we find 8 tracks. Noteworthy is the dancehall track Ni Ok and the title track Armoei Troef Zwaartekracht is a latin flavoured tune and sounds really nice. Reggaeman is a slow, dubbed up tune.

So all Flemish people... check them out!!
