Here's the first vinyl release of United Flavour, (a 12inch to be played at 33rpm) featuring dub versions of three tracks ("Rally Round", "On The Side", and "Niños") from their 2011 released cd "Attitude" with the addition of "Talking About Love" and a brand new vocal mix of "On My Own Again", which features well respected reggae veteran Earl 16.

First let's introduce those who have never heard about United Flavour to this Prague based multicultural band. The impulse of forming today's most successful reggae band in Czech Republic was when Djei, a bass player from Ivory Coast, met Spanish singer Carmen. In spring 2004 they formed a multicultural band called United Flavour. Their first studio record, an eight songs demo EP called "Single Revolution", was released in June 2005. Because this release was quite successful they turned it into a 15 track remix compilation called "Revolution Project".

Their official debut album "Unity" was released in June 2007 on SubPub Records and featured collaborations with several very interesting guests from Czech Republic and other countries – King Kalabash & Baron Black aka Big Famili from Caribbean Martinique, Slovakian singer Tina, rapper Henry D from the USA, El Condorsito from Chile and others. Also on their 2011 released sophomore album "Attitude" there were quite a few guest appearances including Jamaican artists Konshens and dancehall trio Ward 21.

Before dub takes over, this mini-album opens with the solid vocal cut "On My Own Again". It's the inimitable voice of Earl 16 that shines bright, turning this effort across a wonderful sounding riddim track into a first-class song. Then it's time for the divine wonders that Jamaican mixing engineers incorporated into their experiments in the creation of dub. The five tracks, starting off with "On My Dub Again" and ending with "Dub Niños", have an effect-laden reverberating sound with lots of echo and fragments of vocals floating in and out of the mix.

"Dub Attitude" was mixed in Prague at Faust studio by well experienced British engineer Derek Fevrier, known among other things for his work with the Twinkle Brothers. Together with United Flavour he has created a uniformly high standard dub effort, worthwhile checking out.
