Ras Attitude, another very talented roots reggae artist hailing from St. Croix V.I., has his third album release out on the streets. "Holding Firm" follows up his second album "Love Life" and the debut set "Happiness", and is largely produced by Zion High Productions (with additional production by Sound VIZion, Lustre Kings and I Grade).

Ras Attitude combines some sweet vocals along with some wicked chants, thus creating a sound that will surely appeal to all roots reggae lovers. The album has a vintage sound with all live instrumentation, including a few tracks with great horn arrangements. Some of the finest players of instruments are featured on the disc, including Santa Davis (drums), Wadi Gad (drums), Squidly Cole (drums), Laurent "Tippy" Alfred (keyboards & melodica), Batch (keyboards & drums), Jah David (Bass), Jah Oil (guitar), Bongo Herman (percussion) and Tuff Lion (acoustic guitar).

Throughout the entire album the listener is treated to rich vocal performances, positive lyrics and strong musical instrumentation, which makes this a very enjoyable and entertaining set. All efforts are above par and some of them are truly excellent like for example the wicked combination tune with Batch, "Wrath Of Jah", "Let Jah Be Praised", the extended "Bad Bwoy", the title track "Holding Firm" and "Life Of Love", in which Ras Attitude's vocal delivery reminds us of the late great Dennis Brown. The album closes off in fine style with a wonderful acoustic tune entitled "Olive Tree".

"Holding Firm", Ras Attitude's most consistent collection of tunes so far, will spread the buzz and help establish him as a strong force in roots reggae music.
