Winston Foster achieved worldwide recognition as the albino deejay Yellowman. In the first half of the eighties he broke really big which gave him the opportunity to work with practically all the leading dancehall producers. During the period 1981-84 Yellowman was one of reggae's most popular artists. The records he made at his peak contain plenty of style, originality and humour, as well as the necessary ability to ride some of the strongest riddims of the time. His work not only contains the usual tunes about the opposite sex - obviously a favorite topic for many a deejay - but deals with conscious matters as well.
This great live recording once again showcases Yellowman's unique skill and talents as he delivers his tunes - including some of his best like "Yoyo", Two to six over mix", "Operation eradication", "Lost me lover", "Mr. Chin" and "Zuguzung" - in his inimitable style, expertly backed by a tight playing Sagittarius Band. Well worth checking out !
