Kashief Lindo started out as a child star, operating out of his father's studios in Miami. During his career he has developed from a poppy child star to a mature reggae personality who uses influences from R&B, Soul, Latin and Hip Hop to brighten up his recordings.
His current album 'Love Knows The way' is a decent follow up to his 'We Need Love' album which was released in the spring of 2000. As usual Kashif covers themes of roses and love letters, but he also delivers some original cultural and conscious related tunes such as Finger Never Say Look Ya, World Crisis and I Pray. Furthermore he expresses his concerns for the world's well being in Love Is Just A Heartbeat Away and the title track Love Knows The Way. The bulk of the songs offered here are well arranged and smooth sounding lovers tunes. He uses some solid classic reggae riddims for some of the tunes, but he also knows how to write a good original tune. Most of the songs were written in combination with his father and it's not hard to point out stand out tracks. After the intro comes i Pray which comes across the 'I Need A Roof' riddim, followed by the splendid Leave A Little Love. Procrastination and the single where Do I Fit In are solid tunes, both with a strong hook and I Love Your Way is a song which instantly grabs you.
Musicians on board include Sly and Robbie, Kashief Lindo, Keith Sterling, Willie Lindo, Nambo and Chico. All tracks were recorded and mixed at the HeavyBeat Recording Studio in Miami, Florida.
