Bobo dread Anthony B. is one of Jamaica's new generation of reggae artists who are fully conversant with the dancehall scene, yet who have chosen to re-introduce the teachings of Rastafari into their songs. After reggae connoisseurs recognized him as a major talent in 1994-95 young singjay Anthony B definitely bursted on the scene in 1996 with his exciting debut album "Real Revolutionary aka So Much Things" and then again in 1997 with his sophomore release "Universal Struggle", followed by "Seven Seals" in 1999. Those who are familiar with the works of Anthony B already know that this young artist has delivered some memorable messages through his music, which made him one of the most prominent representatives of the new Jamaican conscious movement that emerged in the second half of the nineties. His over 100 single releases, 7 albums and appearances on some 50 compilation albums, but also his extensive touring schedule provided Anthony B the opportunity to present himself and his always conscious reggae music to a large audience. Thus he definitely managed to establish his name among many reggae fans in the US and Europe.

Anthony B.'s newest album on the Artists Only imprint entitled "More Love", is a satifying collection of songs he recorded for producer/singer Robert Ffrench. Further production credits go to Morgan Heritage, M. Coburn and Kennedy International. From beginning to end "More Love" contains pure message tunes that range from devotional Rastafarian intonations to calls for righteousness. After the strong opening tune Straight Can't Lean comes the ganja tune Rolling Down The Street. The melodic Yard And Broad is a compelling roots tune, just like Dem No Like Me, which happens to be one of our favourite tunes on the album. Then come the killer tunes (underpinned by great riddims!) Talk Too Much and More Love. For the song My Story Anthony B teams up with his producer, Robert Ffrench, and their tune is certainly a decent one! Next he teams up with fellow deejays Determine and Saba Tooth for the hardcore dancehall track Universal Joy.

"More Love" is a satifying Anthony B album.
