Joshua Alo is originally from the island Oahu (Hawaii). This may seem unknown to the most of us, but when we say you can visit Honolulu or Waikiki Beach you might have a better clue. Joshua Alo was already a huge talent when he started to play the guitar and ukulele at a very young age. At the age of 17 he started to play on the streets as an artist, but to make a living out of it was almost impossible. He left the island and signed up with the US Airforce. Not an easy choice for a freedom fighter like Joshua. He stranded in Iraq and got himself a nice job at the army as a postman.

While still in service of the army, Joshua Alo released his first album in 2007, "Answer Your Calling". The album was recorded in Italy, while he was stationed in Northern Italy and was picked up very good globally. It got a second place in Brazil in the Radio Reggae Trade's Top Albums 2007 and cdbaby.com and iTunes praised the album as one of the top independent albums of that year. In Hawaii the singles "Angel" and "Dreaming" were listed in the top 10 for weeks.

In 2008, Joshua Alo resigned from the army and returned to Hawaii for a tour across the beautiful islands in the region. After a while Joshua Alo moved to Brussels, Belgium and started recording his sophomore album "Orchid Unknown". He recorded this 12-track album with some fine studio musicians and jazzplayers.

The album starts off with a peacefull track called "Feel It In The Air" about life. Inspiring lyrics is the message that Joshua Alo wants to bring. Songs like "You'll Never Know" and the title track "Orchid Unknown" are very catchy and keep me humming the lyrics all day long.

Joshua Alo sees making music as his journey through life and make that very clear by adding "To Be Continued" at the end of the track listing on his album. So prepare for some more conquering music of this young beloved artist.
