About five years have gone since Silly Walks and Patrice released the brilliant "Silly Walks Movement Meets Patrice", and six years since his sophomore album "How Do You Call It?". Then Patrice returned three and a half years ago with the hight quality album "Nile", with several tunes on it co-written and co-produced by Matt Kent and Cameron McVey (the producer of Massive Attack's seminal "Blue Lines", Youssou N'dour & Neneh Cherry's "7 Seconds", Jamelia's "See It In A Boys Eyes"), who lend a hand on "Free-Patri-Ation" as well.

26 year old Patrice - born as Patrice Bart Williams July 9th, 1979 in Cologne, Germany to a German mother and the Sierra Leonean writer-activist Gaston Bart-Williams, and now often using his grandfathers name: Babatunde - is one of those artists that can't be and refuse to be pinned down on one style, or even one genre. Effortlessly combining folk, reggae, soul and blues, this singer/songwriter and guitarist reinvents himself with every new release, and this is the first single of his excellent 2008 album "Free-Patri-Ation".

On this Maxi-CD the album's opener is featured in its "Clouds (Single Edit)" and the disappoitingly less longer (but at least as impressive) "Clouds (Extended Version)" as well as in its great soothing "Clouds (Instrumental Single Edit)". As an extra the Unplugged Performance Of "Clouds" is included as a videoclip on a Maxi-CD that shows all the strength and eclecticism of Patrice and is a great introduction to his full length 2008 album "Free-Patri-Ation".
