L.M.S. - an acronym for Laza, Miriam, and Shy-Poo Morgan - is another musical group formed by some of Denroy Morgan's children (Morgan Heritage is the other, meanwhile very successful reggae group which solely consists of Denroy's offspring). Shy-Poo is the male singer, Miriam the female singer, and Laza the deejay/rapper with the wailing "Sizzla-esque" chanter style. In the last two years this vocal trio already drew notable attention with some solid 45s for ace producer Donovan Germain. And now there is an excellent debut album which fully displays the expert production talents of Donovan Germain alongside family members of Morgan Heritage. The sound of L.M.S. is strongly reminiscent of Morgan Heritage, who lend there performing talents on "Saddle Up" - a fine upful performance - and the funky jazz inspired "Think Twice. "Reality Check" opens with "Here We Come", a great cut across a new lick of the Mighty Diamonds' Channel One classic 'Right Time'. It sets the pace for things to come, which happen to be strictly positive and uplifting deliveries with heartfelt feel good music. Spinning track after track it's obvious that L.M.S. have managed to deliver an impressive debut album, although some critics will surely point out that most of their tunes sound very much like the efforts of their brothers and sisters of Morgan Heritage.
So, anyone who is a fan of Morgan Heritage will like this L.M.S. album to the max !
