From his early days as with the legendary vocal harmony group the Paragons John Holt proves himself one of the most professional and impressive singers in the business, whose popularity throughout all those years is simply due to the warmth and love he expresses through the songs he performs. Although he has covered a lot of great songs from others, it is also his songwriting ability which has kept his name in entertainment circles from the very first start of his long career.
Joh Holt's latest album is called "Ultimate Holt" and is a collection of well known classics. His soothing mellow voice is perfectly suited for covering romantic classics such as Dusty Springfield's You Don't Have To Say..., Otis Redding's smash hit Dock Of The Bay, Sam Cooke's Cupid and Derrick Harriott's That Girl. The album is aimed at the more matured reggae listener, no dancehall or roots 'n' culture found here !
The backing is provided by some of UK's most prominent musicians like Mafia & Fluxy, Bubblers, Black Steel, Tony Philips, while the horns section features household names such as Roland Alphonso, Lascelle James and Winston Rollins.
