Selftaught musician and singer/songwriter Kneah (do not pronounce the "K") is a native of the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia, who has scored two number one hits in his homeland: the reggae tune "Don't Try This" and the soca song "Self Destruction". With his self-produced new CD "VersaStyle" Kneah tries to reach a wider audience, a mission which may be successful as he truly delivers a noteworthy effort. "VersaStyle" is a varied and enjoyable album with a broad range of musical styles from roots reggae to dancehall, from rock to pop to dance music. Main ingredients are the well crafted songs, fresh riddims and a singer with a distinctive and delightful voice. Furthermore Kneah impresses lyrically as he seems to have no shortage of lyrics. His self-written conscious songs deal with topics ranging from abortion, racism, the environment and self awareness to the existence of God. Best tracks are "Come On", "Sinking Sand", "Who" and Choose Life.
