Bena´ssa is a talented reggae singer/songwriter from the Netherlands. He opened the 2003 Sean Paul show in The Hague, where he rocked the massive crowd. Success he had already in 1996 by founding the group 'Arnhemsgewijs'. Lloyd De Meza was the singer of the group. The band scored two hit singles and released a nice album. At the TMF Awards in 1998 they were awarded 'Best Dutch R'n'B Group'. A few years later the band split up.

Bena´ssa teamed up with producer Joost 'Houston' Jellema for his album 'Tables Turn' (to be released end of November 2008) on which you'll be treated to contributions by Dean Fraser, Lady G, Lloyd De Meza, Benjah en TinQ. Watch out for that album!

In the meantime we'll keep spinning the cd single 'Voodoo & Coconut Water', two sun drenched tunes, especially 'Coconut Water'. The swinging arrangenments and the combination with Lloyd De Meza and Benjah result in two truly infectious songs with strong crossover potential. The cd single comes complete with a dancehall mix and the inevitable dub version, which happens to be a really surprising mix by Joost 'Houston' Jellema. The Maxi-CD also includes a videoclip of "Voodoo" that was filmed in the Caribbean.
