Sanjin & Youthman - the Sweden based cousin duo that originates from the Bosnian town of Bosanska Gradiška - started their musical journey 15 years ago within the belly of the Swedish underground hiphop scene. However it was in recent years that they drew notable attention with their blend of dancehall music and the folk inspired sounds of their home country, which they called 'Balkan Dancehall'. Things really got started when they 'hijacked' Ward 21's "Cosa Nostra" riddim, and made "Hocu da se napijem" ("I want to get drunk"). And the success was immediate as this tune got DJ support from all over the globe. The rest is, as they say, history.

Now the Balkan Dancehall ambassadors Sanjin & Youthman have taken the next step in their music career as they've signed a new record deal (with Sony Music) accompanied by the release of a brand new 4 track EP entitled "Yunited". The latter, which incorporates the duo's infectious trademark sound from beginning to end, kicks off with a tribute to a swedish national football player, the one and only Zlatan Ibrahimovic. A very nice tune that will appeal to music lovers and football fans alike. Next drops "Kafana", done in collaboration with Median. This effort is a prime example of how well it works when they fuse dancehall music with Balkan instruments and melodies. "Kafana" and also the previous single "How I Play" are the highlights of this thoroughly entertaining party-vibed EP.

What can we say? Balkan Dancehall to di world!!
