Daseca Productions was formed in 2001 when three friends, David Anthony Harrisingh, Craig Serani Marsh, and Craig Andrew Harrisingh came together with a similar quest in mind... to produce everyone, from the best in the industry to the next upcoming artists in the business. DA (David Anthony) SE (Serani) CA (Craig Andrew) was originated through the initials of the first and middle names of each member.
Early on, Daseca branched out and started playing on other producers' tracks, while learning the trade at the same time. They played phrases on different riddims such as: "Mad Guitar", "Good To Go" (overdub), "Mad Ants" (overdub) produced by Donovan 'Don Corleon' Bennett; "Rebirth" (overdub) and "Steps" produced by Renaissance. Daseca solely created the "Chaka Chaka" and "Clear" riddims, both produced by Fire Links, as well as making the riddim for Elephant Man's popular international hit "Willie Bounce". They also made the "Smash" riddim which featured Tony Matterhorn's huge hit song "Dutty Wine".
Then, in 2004, Daseca produced and released their first riddim, "Safe Sex". In the same year they came up with their second production, the successful "Anger Management" riddim with Mavado's landmark hit "Real McKoy" being one of the most notable efforts. With the success of "Anger Management" and advice from Bounty Killer, Daseca was urged to produce "Angrier Management", the sequel. Since then the production group has been responsible for producing a number of hits for artists like Mavado, Alaine, Bugle and Serani as well as riddims such as "Airwaves", "Genesis", "Dreaming", "Dancehall Again", "Good Life", "Chromium", "R6", "Coke Zero", and "Category 5".
The production trio's latest riddim is called the "Aktion Pak" and features the usual suspects alongside new names Dexta Daps and Chase Cross. Lead and title track of this energetic heavy bashment riddim with its punchy bass line is Mavado's hard hitting single "Aktion Pak". Konshens too, is in wicked form on "Warrior", one of the tunes that has a few clever modifications in the riddim's structure, insuring that boredom doesn't set in. Bugle, discovered and brought to the forefront by Daseca, also makes a good impression with "None A Dat". Both Demarco and Serani, one of the producers who is also making waves as a dancehall artist, deliver decent efforts. This also goes for promising newcomers Dexta Daps and Chase Cross.
With the fast-paced "Aktion Pak", the imaginative and creative Kingston-based production team has created another dancehall thriller.
