In the summer of 1999 trendsetting dancehall producers and recognised masters of riddim Steely & Clevie released countless versions across their awesome "Street Sweeper" riddim, which packed the dancehalls of Kingston, Jamaica, New York and London. At the beginning of a new millennium the duo raises the temperature in the dancehalls once again with an up-front selection across their freshest riddim entitled "Bitter Blood".
Sixteen hustling takes on the blasting "Bitter Blood" riddim are gathered on this explosive Dancehall compilation set. Deadly goods are delivered by Jamaica's chart topping deejays Capleton, Beenie Man and hot new stars Sean Paul, Ward 21 and Lexxus. Also Merciless delivers an outstanding cut to the riddim, one of his best efforts to date. Further enjoyable efforts come from Red Rat, Burru Banton and Mr. Pepper. Somewhat disappointing are the deliveries of Lady Saw, Mr. Vegas, Ghost and Lovindeer. Finally Ritchie Stephens deservedly gets credits for delivering a solid singing effort across this pure Dancehall riddim. Anxious to know if this "Bitter Blood" set also manages to get a second volume.... hopefully it does !!
