From the Pot of Gold camp, courtesy of Mister Richie Stephens, comes the "Caribbean Style" riddim. It's an uptempo melodic dancehall riddim that has maintained the fire in the dancehalls over the last few months. Here we are treated to only 15 cuts across the riddim, although more versions were voiced and released as 45's. The riddim keeps you involved till the very end with fine singers like Richie Stephens and Singer J showing off their skills alongside a worthy selection of Jamaica's most powerful deejay talent including Frisco Kid, General Degree, Assassin, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer.
Most appealing cuts are Wayne Marshall's master blaster Roll Deep, Frisco Kid's Naw Laugh and Kiprich with Hot Girl. Besides these tracks this melodic slice of dancehall, with simply the right kind of ingredients a backdrop needs to shake just about any dance floor, has more vibrant tunes to enjoy. The title track where Bounty Killer and Richie Stephens take on the riddim is one of our favorite tunes here, but General Degree's outing Reggae Dancehall isn't far behind. Beenie Man's excellent Oh La La La fully shows this artist's unique flow when he rides a riddim. Here he gets accompanied by Crissy D. Also lesser known artists should not be overlooked as New Kidz's Wine Mi Gal, and the Professor Nuts track entitled God Damn It are above par entertaining efforts. Finally Miss Lady G rounds off the album with Respect Woman, an extended mix of the version.
