It seems to be going extremely well with Ryan Moore, the renown dub specialist, multi instrumentalist, producer and artist as he keeps on releasing album after album. The in The Netherlands based music wizzard uses all live instruments, no computers there. Towards the end of 2006 he released a limited edition LP (1000 copies) called 'Cultural Roots Showcase'. Now the cd version has arrived, with an extra wicked track! All tracks are extended showcase style mixes with the dub versions seamlessly edited on the end and recorded in Jamaica, England and The Netherlands. The album features some of reggae's best veteran roots artists.

Michael Rose is first with Shilling, the song has only a small dub part compared to the other songs, nonetheless it's an appropriate opening tune. Admiral Tibet is next with Have The Strength, which is one of the gems on this album. Both the vocal side as well as the dubside of this track are great. Ranking Joe comes up with Gideon Time, not Joe's best tune on this album but luckily it benefits from the dub part. The bonus track on the cd version of this album is Prince Alla's No More Will I Roam, which is too bad for the LP buyers 'cause it definitely adds a good vibe to this collection. The last artist featured here is Mikey General who delivers Tell It Like It Is, definitely a highlight on the album. The last 2 tracks are again from Ranking Joe entitled Shaka Zulu and Original Fire. Both have truly awesome dubs added by Ryan Moore. Like to see Ryan do more showcases like this instead of dub only albums as his strength comes out better on these 'custom 12 inches'.

Overall Ryan did a fantastic job polishing these songs, check it out!
