This is Round two of Union Square's dancehall sessions and this time around they bring in the modern bashment to slug it out with the original ragga gems from the 1980s and present. The 31-track cd has some songs by a few big reggae/dancehall names such as Shabba Ranks, Jah Cure, Gregory Isaacs, Sizzla, Dennis Brown, Horace Andy, Buju Banton to name but a few!

I Wayne's Can't Satisfy Her is a tune so hot among all generations of reggae fans in 2005 that it was put on an old Studio 1 riddim for a bootleg! Next comes the killer dancehall tune Murder She Wrote on the "Bam Bam" riddim. On the in 1982 released Water Pumping, Johnny Osbourne applies his mellow voice to bring us this fine song. One of the dancehall kings, Shabba Ranks, delivers an unstoppable hit with Get Up, Stand Up And Rock. The nyahbinghi flavored classic Hail To The King is a misplaced gem on this album. Dancehall returns with the "Allo Allo" riddim by Bounty Killer and Man A Killa. Gregory Isaacs fits perfect on this cd using his rudebwoy persona alongside his romantic style on Love Contract. Sizzla's version of the "Cry Baby" riddim from earlier in 2006 became a massive anthem, one of the best one drop tunes of the year so far. Of course I'm talking aboutThanks & Praise. The imprisoned Jah Cure brings Love Is The Solution across the "Liberation" riddim.

Flowing over into disc 2, Tiger really roars on the digital eighties track Can't Test We. Dennis Brown did a great job remaking Harry Mudie's Still Drifting. In 2005 riding the "My Baby" riddim, the massive hit Telephone Thing gave Kiprich the credit he deserves. Papa San a dancehall artist from the 80's provides us with a fine dancehall tune Watch You Watch Me (Aka Watch Watch). Followed by 2 other artists who are already around for a long time, namely Gregory Isaacs and Horace Andy. Both deliver classic cuts. Also check out Apache Indian's Boom Shak-A-Lack, which combines manic growling vocals with a fairly dynamite groove. Junior Reid's Higgler Move, yet another Jammy’s production, is one of the real shining songs on the album. Cry Over You closes off the album with sound clash mode from the mighty Cocoa Tea.

An enjoyable set of tunes!
