After the very successful albums "Dancehall Xplosion '98" - the best selling dancehall album for 1998, which remained in Billboard's reggae charts for more than 23 weeks - and "Dancehall Xplosion '99" Jamdown Records winning formula continues with "Dancehall Xplosion 2000".
First on the album comes Dave Kelly's 'Bug Riddim'. Featured here is Spragga Benz's hit Can't Get No Gal, followed by Keep Them Coming by Wayne Wonder. Three versions on the hot new riddim 'Razor Blade' from the up and coming producer Chad Simpson aka Goofy : Captain Barkey with Miss Matty Boy, Goofy's Look Like Battyman and finally Elephant Man with Hype. The same artist also appears on Q45 Productions 'Dirty Money' riddim with Rat Patrol. Newcomer Danny English licks the same riddim with Wow.
The 'Bellyas' riddim is today's most hottest riddim and two of the wickedest tunes from this riddim are present here : Scare Dem Crew Harry Toddler's U Know and Elephant Man with Watchie Pums. Goofy's Young Blood Productions is back with the runaway hit riddim 'Antz Nest'. Featured on this riddim is Beenie Man with Hundred Dollar Bag, Red Rat with Its A Buddy She Want, Mr. Vegas with Yuh A Di Number One and Madd Anju's Wha Dis Fadda.
Capleton performs the conscious minded hit Seek Knowledge across the 'Spring Water' riddim. Beenie Man's 1..2..3.. is another version to the riddim. Tony Kelly's 'Kiki' riddim is licked by Spragga Benz, Delly Ranks and the 'Crash' riddim from 'In The Streetz' Productions comes next with excellent versions from Harry Toddler and Mr. Vegas & Elephant Man. Finally the 'Ghetto Slam' riddim comes up and household names like Beenie Man -Lots A Money..Lots A Girlfriend-, Tanto Metro & Devonte -Whatever Comes To My Mind- perform excellent versions of the riddim.
The disc closes with 7 minutes of mega mix juggling.
