In the late 80's Music Works came up with some really revolutionary riddims, which marked the start of a new episode in reggae music. This disc however showcases an earlier period for producer Augustus "Gussie" Clarke, especially interesting because these cuts were done in a variety of studios (including those of Harry J., Joe Gibbs, Duke Reid and King Tubby). A beauty from the days before "Gussie" got his own studio going, with great artists backed by the cream of Jamaica's session musicians.
