Producer Arif Cooper of Fresh Ear Productions, son of Third World's Ibo Cooper, and producer of the 'Good Vibes'-riddim, the bouncy and melodic hip-hop inspired 'Celebration'-riddim and the entertaining up-tempo with several alternative mixes of it 'Phantom', the bouncing aimed at the dancefloor riddim 'Move'-riddim and his irresistibly infectious 'R.A.W. (Ready And Willing)'-riddim contributes another fine riddim to VP Records' successful Riddim Driven Series with his large sounding and hard driven 'Full Draw'-riddim. The as always high-quality stomping and bouncing yet melodic Fresh Ear riddim seems made for T.O.K. as title track "Full Draw" shows, but Idonia tops it the strange but very entertaining "Gather Here" that benefits from a piano added throughout the tune to full effect. Mr. Lex comes in strong with "Push It Pon Dem" and so does - the former Blacker Ranks - Black-Er with "Good O'ova Bad O'", before the wicked lyricist and king of slackness Vybz Kartel contributes the brilliant "Woman A Mi Sunshine" that also seems to fit the riddim as tight as 'his favorite subject' and Elephant Man with "Anaconda" and Bounty Killer with "Dem Fi Get" f#ck convince in the slackness department as well. The clever combination of Macka Diamond with Bling Dawg in "Fi Dat" works extremely well and eternal upcoming artist Sanjay impresses with the very fine "Wine On Me". And although Chico's "Mi Life" lyrically leans heavily on Baby Cham's "Ghetto Story" there's no denying this is a big tune, but one of the biggest surprises on this riddim is Greg Hines' "Ah No Movie Dis" (I don't know whether this is the same Greg Hines as the turn of the century Jeremy '2 Hard' Harding protégé) that is absolutely smashing. RDX, who have in fact been around for some time already, starting out as the 9 member outfit Xsytement Gang, then when cut down to three members Xsytment, and now down to only two members RDX, which means Renegade Delomar X, deliver the excellent singer-deejay combination "Gangster Party" as last vocal tune, with Arif Cooper himself taking the honours for the excellent clean "Full Draw (Instrumental)" showing what this excellent hype riddim is all about and how big a hype it should create. Brilliant jump up one-riddim-album with all-killer-no-filler tunes!
