The popularity of the "Greensleeves rhythm album" series can be credited to the fact that these bashment sets are handy and affordable for all dancehall fans who wish to keep up with the newest and hottest riddims in the dancehalls while they are still firing. Furthermore they are very useful for the professional deejays as well as the hobbyists 'cause Greensleeves Records also releases them as double vinyl albums for juggling purposes. The 9th instalment in the series entitled "Heatwave" maintains the dancehall vibe of its predecessors. The "Heatwave" set compiles twenty pieces on a new stuttering hardcore riddim produced by Harvel Hart for Annex Productions. Most of the tracks featured on this set are already released as single, but for some reason some titles have been changed like for example Capleton's "Eye Shop", which is now called "Forward Inna Dem Clothes", and Sizzla's "Woman Caan Too Much", here called "Woman Dem A Fi Me". Having one look at the names included on the tracking list one immediately finds that the usual suspects are all present to deliver their piece for the riddim. Rather unknown names appearing on this album are Dice and the new outfit SQJ. Compliment for standout piece goes to Capleton for his extraordinary "Forward Inna Dem Clothes". Also notable efforts can be heard when spinning the cuts delivered by Elephant Man, Sizzla, Ce'cile, Danny English, Nitty Kutchie and Dice & Galaxy P.
