Demon Records released a fine collection of reggae tunes with this double cd. There are no weak tunes here and what makes this release definitely worthwhile is that you do not find the usual stuff for a reggae beginners collection.

Collected here are gems starting with the King Tubby era (Jacob Miller's Baby I Love You So), showing a lot of Channel One madness (e.g. Wailing Souls Act of Affection and John Holt's Private Doctor, to name just 2 tunes), taking a break at the beginning of the raggamuffin era (e.g. Gregory Isaacs Red Rose For Gregory) to finish in the 21st century (e.g. Wayne Wonder's No Letting Go). Furthermore the collection offers nuff nuff solid Junjo Lawes productions.

As mentioned before - there is nothing really new for the avid reggae fan, 'cause some of the tunes should be in every serious reggae collection. So if you're looking for a collection with nice and not only usual reggae tunes, try this one, but be warned - you will not stop spinning the tunes easily!
