Bobby "Digital" Dixon is the producer of this wicked release so, on the strength of what you know about the quality of his work already, you know you're in for a real musical treat. Listening track after track this album proves to be an extra strong selection message tunes coming outta Digital B. Studio. For most of the incisive real modern roots songs Bobby relies on reworked rhythms: Bob Marley's "Heathen", Jackie Mittoo's "Drum Song", Alton Ellis's "Breaking up (is hard to do)", Keith & Tex's "Tonight" and Wailing Souls's "Mr. Firecoal Man". However, also included are some original rhythms, amongst them "Kette drum", the electro-Nyahbinghi rhythm which became one of the hottest rhythms in 1995. Serious stuff !
