Any hardcore Dancehall fan who views the track listing of the latest instalment in Greensleeves' annual collection of their best Ragga/Dancehall pieces, entitled "The Biggest Ragga Dancehall Anthems 2000", will know that this double CD is packed full of the year's hardest hitting Dancehall smashes. Featuring such contemporary top Dancehall artists as Capleton, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Sizzla, Buccaneer and Degree alongside sensational newcomers like Elephant Man, Lexxus, Sean Paul, Mr. Vegas, Danny English and the sensational outfit Ward 21, one can only draw one conclusion: this set truly gathers the hottest and most talented artists the ragga/dancehall industry has to offer these days. Not only the featured artists are topnotch names also the producers can be counted to the best Dancehall music has to offer. Legends like King Jammy, Jack Scorpio and Phillip "Fatis" Burrell are represented as if to add their experience in the business to the large amount of young budding production talents on this set including Steven Ventura of "Kings Of Kings", Byron Murray & Clifford Smith of "In The Streetz", Computer Paul of "Da Boot Camp", Richard "Shams" Browne of "B-Rich", Shane Richards of "Shines Productions", Harvel Hart of "Annex Productions", and Ward 21.|
Fourty tracks, many killers and few fillers, are equally distributed over two discs. Too much wicked efforts to point out every single one, but those which should be include the four Capleton cuts "Crazy Looks" ("Latino" riddim) "Who Dem?" (Bellyas" riddim), "Bust It" ("Doorslam" riddim) and the outrageous "Good In Her Clothes". Furthermore Ward 21's "Blood Stain" (Bellyas" riddim) and the mighty "Anti-Spy" ("Scarface" riddim), Lexxus' superb "Monkey's Out" ("Virus" riddim), Beenie Man's "Ring Pon Finga" ("Latino" riddim) and "Badder Than The Rest" ("Auntie" riddim), Sean Paul's "Back Off" and "Check It Deeply", and Bounty Killer's "Black Power".
"The Biggest Ragga Dancehall Anthems 2000" is the ideal collection for all Dancehall fans who have failed to collect this year's upfront Dancehall tunes. Trust us... you won't be disappointed!
