Near the end of the year Greensleeves unleashes a new edition of its annual yardcore dancehall round-up featuring a solid selection of this year's biggest dancehall hits. Again the avid fan is treated to forty tunes in all over some of the hottest dancehall riddims including "Clappas", "Krazy", "C-4", "Bad Company", "Knock Out", "Egyptian", "20 Cent", "Sign", "Jumbie", "Good To Go", "Coolie Dance" and "Amharic", all of them already issued as part of the acclaimed "Greensleeves Rhythm Album" series. Besides that the compiler has included a few exclusives such as Elephant Man's Blasť Blasť produced by the in demand producer Donovan "Vendetta" Corleon, the two Vybz Kartel tracks "Sen On" and the Harvel "Gaddafi" Hart produced "Up To The Sky", the combination tune "Head No Good" by Predator & Kiprich, Spragga Benz's "To The Right" and Elephant Man's "Fan Dem Off" across the "Gallop" riddim. If you're wondering who's the hottest dancehall artist of the year 2003 then this collection of tunes probably provides the answer. Of the forty tunes, the unstoppable "Energy God" Elephant Man and exciting newcomer Vybz Kartel have eight tunes each, with "The Doctor" Beenie Man and Wayne Marshall tying for second place with six each. This leaves twelve tracks for the rest of the dancehall artists featured here with a notable amount of three pieces for rising singjay Predator. On the other hand, "Warlord" Bounty Killer is featured on only two tunes and the hotter than hot dancehall star Sean Paul doesn't appear at all on this compilation set! Nevertheless "The Biggest Ragga Dancehall Anthems 2003" is a mighty collection of this year's bashiest and unadulterated dancehall hits, a must-have compilation for those who want to have a decent overview of what's happening in the Jamaican dancehall today.Teacher & Mr. T.
